Mother's Day 2014

So yeah.. this is like 7 years after Mother's Day.
But this summer has been filled with adventures with my little boy. We have played outside, we have taken long walks and we have soaked up the sun.
Living in the south is a favorite of mine and with a boy like mine, who loves to be outside, the combo calls for long hours spent running in the sprinkler or exploring by the lake.
Anyway, Mother's Day was a fabulous day where my sweet hubby spoiled me with a new watch and took care of Wyman Wolf.
I am so thankful for this sweet little boy who made me a Mommy.

Handmade

I love the whole handmade movement/community!
I love Etsy, it brings together some rad shops all in place.
Shopping small businesses is cool because the products are just so good! As a small business owner, I know that so much time and love goes into every little decision about your brand. We stress and fret trying to go above and beyond for every customer (but also not go broke ;) Supporting a home grown brand is also giving Mom's like me an opportunity to create and help support my family, while staying home with my son. These are a few really cool shops that I follow and love to support (several are stay at home/working moms).
Check them out: here

Wyman Wolf is One.

My baby boy is almost a year old! Time has flown and seemingly stopped all at the same time.
We had Wyman's party the weekend before his actual birthday (since it falls on Easter this year). The best part was my whole family made the effort to come! They all live in GA and we are in LA so it's a small journey to get here. They made everything we did so special. We had a party, did the cake smashing thing, went to Chuck-e-Cheese, opened presents, laughed until we cried, got hyper a time or two and snuggled with Wolfy any chance we got! He loved every minute of it.
I am so happy that sweet boy is mine.

A special week for a special boy <3

My Home.

My family was coming for Wolfy's first birthday so I had to clean.
It seemed like the perfect time to take some shots to share! :)
My style is very eclectic, I am fickle and love design so much that I am drawn to all kinds of styles.
I love the look of a modern scandinavian room but its a little to plain for me. I have a special place in my heart for bold-graphic details and classical finishes. I also like a rustic look and different textiles get me every time!
My husband is a student pastor and we live in one of the Church houses. So with that we can't really paint the walls or change a lot of things so we are working with what we have! Also I have been on this kick of throwing things away (which is a big deal to me) and only buying/keeping things that I really love. Being surrounded by things that I really like makes me happy and throwing away the excess leaves more space and feels cleaner.
In my home I strive to be myself, not decorate for what is in style or the latest trend. I want my son and my husband to feel at home and comfortable, I want my house to feel lived in.
