Mother's Day 2014

So yeah.. this is like 7 years after Mother's Day.
But this summer has been filled with adventures with my little boy. We have played outside, we have taken long walks and we have soaked up the sun.
Living in the south is a favorite of mine and with a boy like mine, who loves to be outside, the combo calls for long hours spent running in the sprinkler or exploring by the lake.
Anyway, Mother's Day was a fabulous day where my sweet hubby spoiled me with a new watch and took care of Wyman Wolf.
I am so thankful for this sweet little boy who made me a Mommy.

Wyman Wolf is One.

My baby boy is almost a year old! Time has flown and seemingly stopped all at the same time.
We had Wyman's party the weekend before his actual birthday (since it falls on Easter this year). The best part was my whole family made the effort to come! They all live in GA and we are in LA so it's a small journey to get here. They made everything we did so special. We had a party, did the cake smashing thing, went to Chuck-e-Cheese, opened presents, laughed until we cried, got hyper a time or two and snuggled with Wolfy any chance we got! He loved every minute of it.
I am so happy that sweet boy is mine.

A Rad Children's Curation

I put together a curation of some of my favorite kiddy things on Etsy. With Easter and my son's birthday {which also happens to be the same day as Easter } quickly approaching I have been gathering gift inspirations everywhere! For some reason I am loving the boldness of red right now... not red mixed with other colors but red in a modern way with neutrals like cognac and white. I mean red is a statement making color and I love the way these vintage toys feel slightly up-dated when curated with modern toys.

10 Months Old

Everyday with this guy is better than the day before.
He is a charming "people person".
He is serious about his snacks and his Daddy.
He loves to clap when he hears music.
He repeats sounds you make back to you.
He is cutting 3 teeth on the top.
He stands un-aided more and more.
He is a kissing fool.
He loves to look at himself in the mirror
He has us wrapped around his little finger.

Wolfy Goes to Fairhope

Fairhope, Al. A place where the sun kisses everything it touches, a place where the trees are magical, the flowers are always blooming and your body and soul can find peace. So much of our heritage on my Mom's side is from Fairhope (that may also have something to do with why I love it so...). My Mom and brothers got to go for a weekend visit so Wolfy and I decided to make the drive too, and it didn't disappoint. We laughed, played cards, napped, walked around the city, visited the bay, ate crab claws, and watched Wolf play. It was magical.
Until next time Fairhope.

E W McCall: the Re-Launch

If you haven't checked us out at EWMcCall.etsy.com  in a while, you should head over there!
We did a huge sale at the beginning of the year and cleared out all our old merchandise.
Then we re-launched, if you will, our brand.
The new product reflects our styles and personal tastes as designers. We want our brand to be a lifestyle  brand with a bit of surprise. Our southern heritage lends itself to a vintage vibe, which you will find in most of our designs. But also we love a good modern fit and some modern details at that. Special finishing touches such as leather details or hand stitching, take our product to the next level. We love to create and our brand is constantly evolving and we love that.

Check out some of our latest Children's Line:

A Wolf and His Eclectic Room

So my friend (@everydaybay) and I were talking, and we mentioned how in a perfect world we would live in a downtown loft with exposed bricks and beams and white walls with so much sunlight. At this point that is not our life. We live in a older house that is very limited with what we can do it (since we don't own it) as far as paint and up-dating. I do love the old character of the house though! The door handles are so great and there is a great chair molding in some of the house that I just love. So when I decided Wolf needed a more "big boy" room we had to get creative.

In my previous nursery post I mentioned how every piece of furniture in the room was given to us or bought secondhand. I mean, we spent under $150 on every piece in the room!

I really love this room. The vibe is easy going, kid friendly and oh so eclectic.
